I work as a business and leadership advisor, helping business owners and SLT operate effectively under pressure.
Before business, my career was in elite sport. I was one of the top hockey umpires in the world, earning 80+ caps for England and GB, and later coached umpires to Olympic level. Making clear decisions under pressure wasn’t optional, it was the job.
In business, pressure shows up differently. Leaders often feel overwhelmed, stuck or constantly “on”. Decisions are delayed, teams wait for direction, and the business becomes overly dependent on the owner. Under pressure, many leaders default to control – becoming hyper‑vigilant, overly critical or holding everything too tightly. It can feel like strength, but it often creates disengagement, anxiety and bottlenecks at the top.
I review how a business is really operating– leadership behaviours, decision flow, expectations, boundaries and ways of working. I help leaders understand how and why they operate as they do under pressure, the impact that has on their people and results, and what needs to change next.
I work at the point where leadership behaviour and business performance collide – identifying blind spots, easing pressure and helping businesses move forward with clarity and confidence.
