This month’s Brentwood Chamber of Commerce Business Breakfast at King George’s delivered exactly what these events are designed to do, bring local businesses together in a way that leads to real opportunities.
With a strong turnout and a great mix of members, non-members and Chamber representatives, the room had a good balance of familiar faces and new connections.
A Morning That Works
The format continues to prove effective. Short introductions keep things moving, while the relaxed setting allows conversations to develop naturally before and after the main session.
What matters most, however, is what comes out of it.
Real Connections Made
This morning produced a number of targeted referrals and 1-2-1 requests across a wide range of sectors:
- Surveyor → Telecoms Company
- Chamber → Podcaster
- Utilities Provider → Community Project
- Utilities Provider → Telecoms Company
- Funeral Director → Hospitality Company
- Care Company → Tree Surgeon
- Website & SEO Business → Electrician
- Electrician → Telecoms Company
Strong Mix of Businesses
The attendee list included professionals from financial services, legal, telecoms, marketing, hospitality, charity organisations and trades, creating a well-rounded room with plenty of crossover opportunities.
This diversity is key. It ensures that conversations are not limited to one sector and that attendees are exposed to opportunities they may not have actively been looking for.
Why It Works
There are three reasons these breakfasts continue to grow:
- Consistency, people know what to expect
- Structure, with a focus on business
- The right people in the room, business owners and decision-makers
It is not about collecting business cards. It is about starting conversations that lead somewhere.
