Every year over 650,000 new businesses are set up in the UK. Disturbingly, only 40% of those will make it past the first two years.
That’s over 390,000 businesses closing their doors because something wasn’t working, but the sad thing is, they probably didn’t know why.
If you’re running a business, you’ll know it’s one hell of a challenge to manage that start-up phase with so many unknowns that you’re up against.
Imagine though, if someone had come along to those 400k businesses and said ‘Stop doing ABC, do far more of XYZ and invest in promoting DEF as the customers are loving that’.
You’d be all over it like a rash.
That’s what we do by showing you how to use your data.
Through helping business owners and entrepreneurs to build their processes and strategies within a data-led framework, we take all of that relentless and exhausting guesswork out of running your business.
We don’t only deal with startups – the need to use your data properly is vital at all stages of business. The irony is though, that the longer you’ve been in business, the more answers you have in your assets.
But by this stage, if you’ve not been managing your data, even contemplating getting it organised, or training staff on how to use it is unthinkable.
Said with love, but that’s a BIG mistake.
There are SO many answers in your data that you’re possibly not seeing.
If you knew where to look within your business for your next move, you’d never second guess yourself again.
You think something went well? Check your data.
You think you know what range to expand? Check your data.
You think you need to recruit more people? Check your… you get it.
You can kind of see why we’re so passionate about what we do now. The assurance you have to feel good about what you’re doing could be made readily available to you so easily.
One objection we often hear is that investing in a data framework seems unnecessary, yet many businesses may need to call in expensive consultants or strategic experts when they start to struggle. Those consultants aren’t ongoing advisors either – they are often damage limitation once the damage is done.
We’re sounding all doom and gloom here – we’re really not that way inclined at all.
We just want you to take your data seriously from the outset.
The most vital advice we could give to any business owner is to see their data as the best business asset they’ll ever get their hands on.
We mention on The Academy page that 90% of companies only buy from companies they trust – your data is telling you exactly who trusts you already.
It’s telling you what people are buying, what they’re not buying, what they’re returning for and how often, where your deadwood is and where your commercial success lies.
Information like that is gold to businesses of any size.
Which is why we have the three formats in place to work with you and your data;
The Academy – aimed at business owners who know they are already doing some things well but are looking at how to scale or grow what they’ve been doing without being confused by all of their data.
Insights – have questions answered and strategies established, based on proven results. This clarity and wisdom helps to form strategies you can use to your advantage when looking where and how to take your business forward.
Solutions – aimed at helping MD’s and CEO’s escape the micromanaging that larger businesses often require of them. Sometimes when you’ve grown as far as is obviously or organically possible, you can’t see where your next move is going to be – this is where Solutions really shines and highlights where investment and growth would be feasible.
Regardless of your business size, by taking you on a journey to understand your data, we can lead you to a point where you can use the wisdom hidden in your data to take action to make your business a success.
What does this mean for you?
It means stability and structure. It’s clarity and confidence. It shows up as faith that you know what you’re doing as opposed to guessing. It’s growth because you have the insight to know what can be built upon and what can go.
But most of all it’s Insight and wisdom.
Every day, your business is diligently processing its data and telling you faithfully what you need to know.
The question is – are you even listening?

I started Priority Support Services four years ago after my leaving my previous GM role with a large cleaning company in London. My own career in the cleaning and soft services sector began over thirty years ago working on the tools learning the job, from window cleaning to carpet cleaning and everything in between. I then progressed through the management ranks to Board Level Director roles provided services to sectors including retail, health, education, events such as the commonwealth games and Olympics and even MOD and public sector contracts.
I have taken the experience gained throughout my career forward built Priority on it’s foundations, we have grown organically providing cleaning solutions for clients throughout Essex, London and the home counties. Our staff are all directly employed, live local to the contracts they service are uniformed and fully trained via our own unique training program.

|Reasons for joining||I decided to join Brentwood Chamber because we have clients within Brentwood, I feel that membership will help us raise local awareness of our company and I also believe we can offer fellow members our experience and support. I have built my business and reputation on networking, delivering on our promises and referring opportunities to other local businesses whether they are in Brentwood, Chelmsford, Walthamstow or Ealing.|
Electrical Solutions is a growing electrical contracting company, started in 2008 by Stuart Mitchell and Barbara Harland because it was difficult to get a domestic electrician who would turn up and do a good job!
Stuart trained as a domestic installer and since then we have worked our way up to be NICEIC Approved Contractors with an expanding workforce.
We specialise in domestic electrics, servicing many local households and a large amount of letting agents and landlords. As members of Check a Trade we are vetted and appraised regularly by the company and clients.
We also carry out commercial work in smaller industrial outlets, but intend to expand that side of the business as we employ more staff.
We also appreciate the value of being involved in the community and are therefore also members of The Essex Wildlife Trust
My reason for wanting to join the Brentwood Chambers of Commerce is to network with other businesses from slightly outside of our local area. I have begun to appreciate the enormous value of such mutual support, in fact my contact for this application is Sally, an Executive Committee Member, who I met at a networking event.
Pure Rejuvenation was founded in early 2018 by Naomi Jacobs. Naomi first started in the beauty and wellness industry in 2009 when she trained as a beauty therapist where she went onto work for leading cosmetic brands, advising celebrities and 1000’s of consumers on their skin concerns plus providing holistic treatments in London and internationally.
Back in May 2017 Naomi’s first niece Harriet was born via emergency C-section. From first hand account Naomi saw the wonderful love her sister and brother-in-law expressed for their daughter but also the stresses they faced together as they adjusted to becoming a new family. Naomi wanted to be able to help and knew the benefits holistic therapies had for adults but had little knowledge of treatments for babies/infants. This sparked an interest in what she could offer to help her niece with the effect of her birth plus provide support. Naturally she loves performing massages and the benefits for all over wellness plus aiding relief and relaxation. Naomi looked into the benefits massage for babies/infants and discovered baby massage! Very quickly she found a baby massage instructor course and hasn’t looked back.
Naomi now offers baby massage classes in and around Essex including 1:2:1 private sessions for parents in their homes instructing new parents how to massage their own infants, taking away a life skill, gaining all the benefits baby massage has to offer. She also provides a mobile home spa service for new/expectant parents or anyone looking to have a spa experience in the comfort of their home.
The reason I would like to join Brentwood chamber of Commerce is I have plans for Pure Rejuvenation to expand, offering further baby class options, provide corporate bookings for wellness days and retreats. I currently run one of my class in Brentwood and have many clients in the area of Brentwood. I feel being able to connect with local business will provide me the means to expand faster in the community. I have been recommend to Join by a few of the members including Sally.
I look forward to hearing your response.

R M Horn & Co are a firm of chartered certified accountants and have been in business for over 40 years.
I wish to join the Brentwood Chamber so that I can have a voice in the community. Recently a new parking meter was installed on Hutton Road without any warning or consultation. In the future I want to be able to voice my opinion on such matters.
I heard about Brentwood Chamber of Commerce through Nish who runs the Shenfield Wine Company.
I recently joined my father in the practice two years ago.
