SDF Essex – Self Defence Training
Have you been looking to learn self defence but didn’t know where to start or are concerned about attending?
SDF Essex Self defence (theory and practical) covers standing, take down and floor techniques in effective, exciting and fun sessions. Training venues are in Brentwood, Great Baddow, Chelmsford, Rayleigh and throughout Essex.
The training teaches how to avoid FREEZING in an attack situation. Having some Self defence knowledge is better to know and hopefully not need rather than need and not know.
Training is suitable for adults, families and children age 10 and above.
Self defence with SDF Essex – Main Benefits
Training helps build confidence, self esteem, fitness, awareness and friendships, plus it’s a lot of fun.
As a group or team building activity Self Defence can really make a difference and help build positive camaraderie, introduce new relationships, break through boundaries and barriers. Sessions are always positive and encouraging.
Brentwood and Great Baddow Chelmsford Half Day Beginners class
A beginners’ class runs once a month in Brentwood on a Sunday morning and Great Baddow, Chelmsford on a Saturday morning.
The outdoor beginners’ class is the student’s first class. Students learn to overcome the FREEZE element of an attack, i.e. developing a learned response. This class must be booked in advance as numbers are restricted, booking details are below.
Having completed a beginners class, students can attend any weekend morning classes, either Sundays in Brentwood or Saturdays in Great Baddow, Chelmsford Essex, on a pay as you go basis. At weekly classes students learn and develop further techniques.
Parent and Child Taster classes
Parent and Child 2 hour taster classes run in Essex school holidays in Brentwood, Great Baddow Chelmsford and Rayleigh. Indoor and outdoor venues, suitable for children in school years 6, 7 and 8, when children start to have more responsibility and independence, start walking to and from school and prepare to move up to or within secondary school. Following attendance at this taster class students receive a 20% reduction on the price of a half day beginners class attended within 3 months of the taster class.
Team Building / Taster sessions
Normally 90 or 120 minutes, these run for private groups e.g. Women’s groups, Youth groups, Educational organisations, Team Building etc., mainly in Essex, in indoor or outdoor venues or at their premises.
