HBBS are a charity providing specialist bereavement counselling, and are well known for providing excellent support to children and adults. Our mission statement is
“To provide the best one to one support for adults and children experiencing bereavement and loss, enabling them to explore and understand their feelings and emotions and work towards adjustment in their lives.”
The Havering & Brentwood Bereavement Service (HBBS) is a local charity, established in 1989 to provide one-to-one counselling support for adults suffering from bereavement and loss. HBBS has grown and evolved and now provides counselling for a wide variety of other issues.
We have strong partnerships in the community with schools, other agencies, health professionals and GP’s. HBBS has its office base and counselling centre in Brentwood with additional counselling premises in Hornchurch. Counselling is also provided in other areas of Essex on request and within Brentwood and Havering primary and secondary schools for bereavement as well as other presenting issues.
Our dedicated, professional team of counsellors hold a wide range of experience and expertise in working with bereavement and loss, alongside expertise in working with trauma, anticipatory grief, clients with special needs and cultural difference. Our aim is to deliver timely high quality counselling interventions for adults, dementia carers, children and young people.
I am a homeopath, Bio Resonance practitioner and diet and Nutrition adviser. I specialize in people who have digestive nor hormonal issues.
I run a wellbeing company covering Brentwood and surrounds offering yoga, pranayama and meditation, all with an Ayurvedic influence for individuals and businesses. I am looking to spread the word of my business to locals looking at attending mindful heartfelt yoga classes in the area or taking up yoga privately and also increase my corporate yoga clients to help businesses benefit from reduced stress related illnesses in the workplace and improve their staffs wellbeing and hope that many members would benefit from my services, hence why I am looking to join. In addition to networking with other local business owners to find out more about their products and services.
I am passionate about helping others find ways to lead a more harmonious life through the use of conscious breath work, yoga, meditation and diet/herbs rather than from prescribed drugs.
I am looking to spread the word of my business to locals looking at attending mindful heartfelt yoga classes in the area and networking with other local business owners to find out more about their products and services.
I found out about the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce via a networking meeting in Brentwood called ‘Word of Mouth’ where a few in this group are already members.
I bring to the people of Brentwood and its surrounding area, professional quality reflexology treatment to help to de-stress & sleep better, in the comfort of your own home or workplace.
Reflexology will help you to achieve a happier outlook and better life satisfaction amongst many other outcomes, by allowing you to be in charge of your own health.
The other reason for me wishing to join the Chamber is that it’s the only Chamber that works as hard, or harder than its SMB members! The Chamber is very active, innovative and willing to try out new ideas all the time (eg new Linkedin page) – just my style.
The Helen Rollason Cancer Charity was founded in 1999 and is the legacy of the BBC broadcaster Helen Rollason, MBE. Helen herself was a resident of Shenfield, Brentwood.
The Helen Rollason Cancer Charity is dedicated to championing quality of life for everyone living with or affected by cancer. We are here to support men and women with all types of cancer at all stages; newly diagnosed, throughout and post treatment, as well as their wider support network of family, friends and carers. We do this through the provision of support centres offering complementary therapies.
Our services are delivered free of charge to support cancer patients’ emotional well-being alongside their medical treatment. We focus on offering these services in non-clinical environments to promote a safe, peaceful, relaxing setting across the Essex, London and Hertfordshire regions. The work we do really does make a difference:
“The staff are all very welcoming and supportive. Sitting in the lounge before and after treatment is all part of the experience. Talking to other clients and staff or just sitting having ‘me time’, is all part of the therapy. It is so peaceful and relaxing I do not know what I would have done without the charity”.
“This is a fabulous service, one that is accepting, supportive and a peaceful place. Thank you from the depths of my heart”.
The charity receives no Government or NHS funding and relies on corporate donations, our retail shops, events, grants and its fantastic fundraising supporters to continue services.

The Helen Rollason Cancer Charity has been in existence for 20 years since 1999.
We heard about the Brentwood Chamber from one of your Committee members Sally Sykes whom I met at the Essex Networking Group.
We wish to become members of the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce as we wish to raise awareness of how our charity supports those living with cancer across Essex, to promote our fundraising events being held in Brentwood and to build relationships with businesses in the Brentwood area. Helen Rollason, MBE and the ex BBC Presenter, herself was a resident of Shenfield, Brentwood prior to her losing her battle with cancer 20 years ago.
